Re: ILR with Ancestry Visa & Baby

When will you go back to work? When does your visa expire? Even working part time would be acceptable by the way but yes, Ancestry visa is an employment visa. Maternity Allowance is not considered a benefit or public fund for immigration purposes. You are/were entitled to claim. See page 9 in the li...

Re: Switch visa from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General Dependent

I have many people telling me that I will have to go back to India to apply for dependent visa as I need entry clearance from there. Is that true? No it is not true. Stop listening to 'many people' talking nonsense. You can apply to switch to PBS Dependent visa WITHIN the UK once your spouse has Ti...

Re: ILR application - few questions

Page 6: Home office ref number is 8 boxes. The 'our ref' on my wifes letters is 9 numbers but starts with a zero. Is this the number to use - her 'case number' I think it was called? Re: Change surname - First passport after Naturalisation

You would need to change your foreign passport first. HMPO won't issue a passport in a different name to your foreign passport as far as I understand. Two lengthy topics on the difficulties and refusal of passport members have experienced. https://www.immigrationboards.com/british-citizenship/new-po...

Re: Settlement PBS Dependent - 5 year route )

If she has been on Tier 1 Dependent visa since November 2012 and still holds the same category visa, SET(M) form is NOT the correct form. She must apply on SET(O). I am applying as partner of British citizen as her current visa was provided (Jan 2017) after I settled in UK. Does she hold a Tier 1 De...

Kindly do not post weblinks to solicitor websites.

There is NO absence limit for PBS Dependents. The 180 per 12 month cycle is ONLY applicable to PBS main visa holders.

Couldn’t thank enough for your valuable input.

One more question, does the letter arrive through registered Royal Mail delivery or normal 1st/2nd class mail?

It can take up to 8 weeks, sometimes a bit longer before you get a result.

The online checking service is a BETA / Trial service and does not work for everyone and is also not accurate.
