LIUK and English test pass certificates not returned after refusal

Post by betty1918 » Sun Dec 16, 2018 6:28 pm

Hi all,

I applied as a dependent of my mother's Tier 1 visa for ILR in October and was refused.
We subsequently applied for an administrative review which was unsuccessful too, and all of my mum's documents were returned to her, including her LIUK pass certificate.

But none of my documents were returned to me, and now we are reapplying for ILR. I have no time to ask the test centres to send me new copies because I know they will take ages.

Can i just explain that both certificates were not returned to me on the checklist they ask us to print after paying? :|

When you fill the online form it asks you if you will provide these with your application. If you say “no” then it asks you the reason why not? You can explain there I suppose that may help or probably you can just write a cover letter and explain.

Also even the test centre cannot provide you a copy of LIUK notification. They dont do copies

Yes, you have to write to the Home office stating the fact that your original mandatory documents were not returned.

Sending additional documents to Home Office?

Post by betty1918 » Fri Jan 25, 2019 9:25 am

Hi,

Previously I have applied for ILR with my mother and was unsuccessful, we then got an administrative review with a legal representative. Later, all of my mother's documents along with the decision letter were sent to our home address. But NONE of my documents (inc. Life in the UK and English Language certificates) were sent back to me. So I have always thought that my documents were still with the Home Office.

So subsequently we applied for ILR again, I included a letter stating that both of these documents were not returned to me and that they were still with the Home Office. But yesterday, out of the blue, my solicitor posted my documents back to my address. I was completely unaware of the fact that my documents were sent to the solicitor but not me.

So I am just wondering if I should send these documents to the Home Office now.
Or is there a way for me to contact and ask them?
I tired calling them but because my application is still within the published standard processing time so I couldn't get through...
