Sending documents for family visit visa

Post by jimbouk » Thu Sep 04, 2014 9:20 pm

I'm in the process of applying for a family visit visa for my in-laws and here https://www.gov.uk/family-visit-visa/do ... st-provide it says we have to provide originals of, amongst other things, evidence of my immigration status.

Since they will be applying from abroad does this really mean that I need to send my passport to them for them to take along to their application appointment?

Seems crazy.

No - it's originals or certified copies.

If it's just a visit visa - get it certified at the post office.
