Seniors some input please

guys,
i m on tier 1 visa and will be applying for my wife and kid's dependent visa this month end.just wanted to know for the substantial relationship requirement can i show our joint account(mine+wife)as a proof.
but there has not been any transaction in this account from past 2 years,will it cause any problem?
please advice
