My wife will be applying for her ILR next year on the basis of Marraige vias for 2 years.
Recently (based on our common decision) she was in India for about six months (less than 6 months by a couple of days) for delivering our baby.
Note: she was here in the UK in her Wife visa for the first 11 months, then she went to India for 6 months for baby delivery and then now back in the UK and will continue to be with me for ever
Now my wife and our daughter are back in the UK (my daughter on her British passport).
For next year's ILR, we have accumulated all of the necc. documentation evidence (like join commitment in finance, bills etc.).
I have some specific questions on couple of stuff. It will be great if i can get some thoughts rolling on those:
Question 1. We have a Life insurance policy taken on me, my wife and children (taken last year) fom Tesco.
The final policy document states my name and my spouse and children as the insured, but it does not state specifically my wife's name there - it simply states my name and my spouse and children.
Can my wife use this policy document as a "Joint names" document (although her name specifically does not appear in teh insured list) as part of SET(M) documentation list?
I spoke to Tesco and they said this is how they issue joint life insurance policy documents. They do not name the spouse name.
Would this be OK or will this be taken as a document addressed to me (husband alone) and not as a Joint named document?
Question 2. For the six months gap - i.e. when my wife was away in India to deliver her baby, we have been in contact with each other and i have these documents to prove:
a. BT telephone bills (bill being addressed in only my name) showing clearly the telephone numbers I spoke to, to speak to my wife - i.e. the mobile numbers and her parent's land line number.
She will use these biils to prove we have been in contact with each other (of course apart from emails, etc as described later).
My question is: But do we have to keep evidence that those mobile and land line numbers belonged to her parents at that address? Or would a simple letter fom her parents to show this and a self-certified letter from my wife confirming this would do?
Other evidence of communication includes: Email communication print-outs between us, mine and my wife's covering letter to British High commission when applying for our daughter's British passport and birth certificate, clearly describing in details which included (apart from other stuff) that my wife was in India for her delivery (a common decision) and she would want to come back to UK to join me (husband) soon, and hence to process the British passport for our daughter as soon as possible.
Also family photographs taken together during my visits to India to see my wife and kid - 4 times during the six months gap also evidenced by the Indian immigration stamps in my British passport).
The BHC issued UK style birth certificate also includes clerly my name and her name as parents. Could this also be used as a communication/document form a government department (although BHC in India and not UK) as part of the allowed documentation in SET(M)?
