SET(M) for husband: timelines + supporting documents

Post by oldlondonlady » Mon Feb 03, 2020 9:23 am

Good morning,

First of all, I apologise if these questions have already been answered in another thread. I did search in older posts/topics, but I could not find what I am looking for in relation to a SET(M) application for my husband.

I have three questions:

1) Timelines: On 7 April, my husband will have completed 60 months under 2 FLR(M).We calculated the 60 months by taking the starting date of his first FLR(M) Biometric Residence Permit and then the expiry date of his current one. Is this all correct? Is there anything trickier that we should be mindful of?

2) Proof of financials: We would like to apply 27 days before the FLR(M) expiry date. But we were by an immigration advisor (in an informal meeting though), that we shouldn't do that as we will need to show the most recent payslip before the expiry date. This would mean my husband March payslip. As he doesn't get paid until 15 March, that means we can't apply before then. Is this correct? Is there a guidance on this that I could look at?

3) Proof of relationship: for our previous FLR(M), we only submitted the documents that were requested in the applications. Proof of cohabitation via utlitity bills/bank statements etc. + marriage certificate. But we didn't submit any photos or personal emails or the likes. A lot of sites suggests that for SET(M) we need to submit more evidence of our relationship than the form asks for. Is this correct in your experience?

Thank you very much for your help.
Kind regards,
Valeria

1. Correct
2. You need to find out what category you are applying under. Min requirement is the last 6 months salary slips and bank statements :!:
Guide: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... -ext_1.pdf
3. Correct
Advice is given based on my personal research and experience only. Do NOT contact me via private message for immigration advice
