SET (0) - Form Queries - 5 years and absence from the UK cal

Post by shyam83 » Mon Jun 04, 2012 10:57 pm

I have taken an appointment with PEO - Croydon for ILR and I was filling the form and had the following queries

I am eligible for ILR based on (First) 2 years on HSMP and then 3 years on Tier 1 (General) Visa

1) On Page 9 of the SET (O), form I do see there is an Highly Skilled migrant option in Section B and Tier 1 in Section A, Which one is the right one for my circumstance, I am slightly confused because my elgibility of ILR is a combination with HSMP first and then Tier 1 (General)

2) Similarly in Section 11 of the form, which one should i tick 11 G which is Highly skilled migrant if you are applying for ILR on completing 5 years continous stay in the UK under HSMP and other appropriate categories,

OR

11L which reads as Tier 1 (General migrant), if you are applying for ILR on completing 5 years continous stay in the UK made up of leave as a Tier 1 (General) migrant and leave as a highly skilled migrant, work permit, innovator ....etc

3) Section 9
I did my Masters in Business and was awarded the certificate on 13th Jul 2007 where as i received my transcript on 29th Mar which date should i put on duration of study to? (B1)

I also have a question in regards to how to calculate the absences from the UK, i have read some post and wanted to clarify/confirm my understanding

4) Date of stamp when you reach a destination after leaving from the UK
5) Date you enter UK (Is there any exemption or levy not to count the day you enter , in other words waved off due to travelling )

My days from UK come to exactly 180 days, will this be okay ?

6) Do i need the letter received from Home office when i received my HSMP and Tier 1 (as i cant find it) - I couldnt see any such specific requirement...Do they ask?

Please do answer any questions that you have answer/experience about

Thank you in advance

Read FAQs for ILR - WP/Tier 1/Tier 2/HSMP holders

1. Note the use of singular tense.
2. The date that you commenced studying and the date classes ended.
3. Read the FAQs.]
4. No.

Thank you for your answers and clarifying and I do understand now that I need to apply in my current category which is Tier 1 and not my initial grant which was HSMP

I also saw the whole day absence which is for naturalisation but I assume that it can be applied to ILR too

I assume your No was for my Question no 6
