SET(M) ILR- 28 days eligiblity criteria

Post by chandima » Sun Jul 09, 2023 6:55 am

I am bit confused by the requirements
You can apply once you’re eligible. If you’re applying as a parent or a partner with a family visa, the earliest you can apply is 28 days before you meet the requirements for time spent in the UK. Your application may be refused if you apply earlier.
My wife arrived on 14/02/2018. And she has being continuously living in UK up to now. Does she needs to wait for 28 days to apply for her settlement. Her visa expiring on 19/08/2023. She has not left UK. Can anybody help on this. Thank you

If the dates you gave are correct, your wife completed 5years in UK on Valentines 2023 I.e. 14/02/2023.
It means she was eligible to apply for SET M since 17/01/2023 so you can go ahead and apply already.

The expiration date 19/08/2023 is the last day on which she can apply. If you have all to support application in place you can apply and submit right away.

PS: presumed you applied for her extension FLRM during pandemic and took a while for it to be approved????

She qualified since January so if all documents set, apply straight away. She could have probably had her BC now if so desired.

SET(M) ILR- Mistake did not put middle name

Post by chandima » Wed Jul 12, 2023 10:46 pm

Hi,

I made a mistake on my spouse application. I forgot to put her middle name on the online application where it has asked "Given name". I paid online and I have not booked biometric appoitnment yet. I cannot ammed the application now since I have paid online. Her middle name on the previous biometric card and passport. Will they refuse the application because I did not include her middle name. Any help on this. Thank you

Simply add a cover letter. They use the name as it appears on the passport
