SET (M)

Post by D's Wife » Sat Sep 03, 2011 8:30 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm new here so i'm sorry if I'm not familiar with the etiquette. I instructed an immigration advisor to submit a SET (M) application at PEO Croydon on 19 August 2011. However, unbeknown to me, the advisor decided to remove some of our documents as 'she thought it wasnt necessary to submit. :(

Anyway, she was issued with a letter to submit additional documents within 14 days to the Liverpool address. She has now submitted the documents and i just wanted to know how long it is likely to take to get a decision and what are the chances of my application being refused now?

If she satisfies the requirements and submitted the requested documents within the specified time limit, then her chances are probably good.

However, perhaps you should ask a clairvoyant?

Unfortunately your solicitor's actions have resulted in your application joining the postal queue at the premium rate...with no priority over other postal applications. You could be waiting between 6-12 weeks for a decision.
It would be interesting to know what documents she believed were surplus to the SET(M) application!

Thank you so much vinny and Casa. She removed my husband's payslips showing our home address as this was one of the first documents to be sent in 2009 and 2010 as well as various letters (not necessarily, bills) from Thames Water and Sky addressed to us jointly.

So this left huge gaps in terms of time between the documents she actually submitted.
