Settlement for mother & brother

Post by nabilx » Thu May 20, 2010 8:07 pm

Settlement query.

Hello all,

I've read through the forum but couldnt find anyone with a similar situation, hence my question.

Is it possible to apply for settlement for my recently widowed mother (age 51) and brother (age 20) at the same time?

Even if I can prove that they live in exc. comp. circ.,are 100% wholly dependant on me,have no relatives etc etc.

Will the HO decline the request as my mother has my brother present and vice versa?

"...you are living alone in the most exceptional compassionate circumstances"

If so, what choice does one have? Long term visit visa?

Appreciate anyone taking time out to respond.

When your brother (an adult himself) lives with your mother, how can you claim that they are wholly dependent on you? Financially maybe, but not otherwise! Similarly, how will you be able to prove that there is no one to take care of your mother or your brother if both are able and living together.

And what do you think are the "most exceptional compassionate circumstances" in your case, that you say you can prove?
