EU settlement scheme application

Hello forum, please help me with my question. We applied for family permit (EU settlement scheme, not EEA one at the advice of a friend) for my wife in November, did bio, and did not receive it yet. I received an email from Liverpool in January that it is not straightforward and will take longer. What if we do not receive it in time and will not be able to enter UK before end of June to apply for a card, is it going to be too late? I am EU and have blue book permanent residence.
