Post by Mubbashshir » Mon Jul 25, 2011 10:29 pm

Given below are the document requirement to be submitted for settlement under Tier 1 in Section 10 L. However could you please explaing me what does the last para mean which is in green, it is quite vage.

Tier 1 (General) migrant If you are applying for indefinite leave to remain on completing 5 years’ continuous stay in the UK made up of leave as a Tier 1 (General) migrant and leave as a highly skilled migrant, work permit holder, innovator, self-employed lawyer or writer, composer or artist, in addition to the relevant documents in 10A, you must provide the following documents:

Evidence specified in section 9A of this form

For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 1 (General) migrant, documents showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules.

What it means is that appliant needs to meet appliable criteria for all visas that have been used to complete qualifying period. So for example if someone has WP for 5 years, they need WP documents (e.g. employer letter, proof of employment with same employer as that mentioned in WP). If stay is made up of 2 years WP and 3 years Tier 1, it means applicant should hav documents for both WP and Tier 1 (e.g. earning statements to show ecomonically active status).

Hi there,

I was in work permit for 6 Months before changing my visa in HSMP and then Tier one. With regard submitting documents to proof that I have followed immigration rules for W.P. visa category before Tier one, If I submit given below document for W.P Visa will that be sufficient.

1. 6 Months Payslip.
2. 3 months bank statements for the above payslips. as I could not open bank account for 3 months,so don't have bank statement for initial 3 months.
3. p60.
