Settlement Visa Received: Thanks to all Moderators.

Dear All,

I just wanted to thank this portal and especially the moderators for putting up such a wealth of knowledge. My wife applied for Settlement Spouse (KOL Req) on 7th April and she received the passport today in the post with issue date being 14th April.

We are really relieved. To be honest, we can not believe

We were in double minds whether to go for EEA route or Spouse Route but in the end we thought it was worth spending 747 EUR. My wife was considering to go to Delhi and apply. Thanks to the detailed explanation given by BetleyKhan in his various posts; we applied from Brussels only. I do not think we could have got the same result in terms of effciency; had we chosen to apply from BHC Delhi.

We would also like to thank ElenaW, Vinny, Wanderer and John for their help when we were confused in EEA and spouse VISA.

In our opinion, what we found out was that the first most important thing is the actual relationship itself; i.e., the length of marriage etc… The second important factor is the location of British High Commission, you are applying from. Believe me applying for a spouse VISA with in Europe is not the same as of applying from INDIA. The third factor is financial stability of the couple.

Regards.
