Short Validitiy Indian Passport

Short Validitiy Indian Passport

Hi All,

I am an Indian citizen, working in UK and I have ILR.

My current Indian passport is going to expire in next 2 months and I needed a passport urgently so I applied for Short validity passport (2 yrs validity).

The staff at HCI London suggested that the fastest way to get a passport is to Apply for Short validity passport. I followed their suggestion as they mentioned that it would take 10 working days to reissue the SVP.

a) Has anyone applied for SVP (India) recently in UK?
b) How long did it take?
