Should I Submit Expired Passport (in maiden name)

Post by betsgood » Sat Apr 12, 2014 12:27 pm

Hello,
I plan to apply for my British passport as soon as possible as I need to travel for work on 30 May. I have my citizenship ceremony on 15th April and am finishing my application now so it's all ready to be posted.

A quick question, however. I applied for Naturalisation using my married name which I have on my current US passport. So my married name will be on my naturalisation certificate. It was not on my ILR docs as I wasn't married at that time.

Is it worth me sending my expired US passport with my maiden name along with my current US passport with my married name? I don't think it's necessary however due to the quick turn around I need on the passport (just over six weeks before I need to travel), I just want to make sure I've covered all bases.

Thanks for any thoughts on this!
