Skilled Worker Change of Employment visa

I am currently applying for a Skilled Worker Change of Employment visa in the UK, however my passport has expired and renewal is taking a lot longer than I anticipated. I have handed in my notice already with my current employer and this notice period ends next week.

I'd like to know if I can proceed with applying for my visa with my current (expired) passport and of course flag in the online application that the passport is expired.

Will I be ok?
