I am on skilled worker visa at the moment our visas' are valid till 31 Dec 2024. I received a new offer from different employer who says they can sponsor only me (main applicant) and not my depenedents'. I am hearing mixed responses and answers about my dependents' visa application if I change my current employer.
1. Some say I need to apply on my own (spending own money for application and IHS) when I change my sponsor for my dependents as well, as the dependents are tied with the main applicant and hence when main applicant switches employers or have different visa expiration date due to new applications, dependents also need to apply to align their stay duration with the main applicant.
2. Also I hear, since they are the PBS dependents, they are not required to apply the same time I change the employer but can apply just some 2 months before their BRP expiry date. It is not necessary to do a fresh application for them when they still have valid BRP with expiry date 2 years from now.
Could you please clarify on this, all I wanted to know is this shouldn't impact in any way during our ILR or citizenship application.
