Hi All,
Wondering if anyone has experienced a similar issue.
We extend anywhere from 1-30 sponsored migrants per calendar month, and we are extending by 3 years.
We always follow the CoS date format as per the below:
- Start date, day after visa expires (example 1/1/2025)
- End date (example 1/1/2028)
This has always classed as a three year extension and charged the relevant fee of £827.
For the last 2-3 weeks it's been incorrectly charging us the higher fee of £1636, which is meant to be for applications longer than three years in length.
I have tried to cut a day off (1/1/2025 to 31/12/2027) to see if this works but it still charges £1636.
The helpline (if you can call them this) has said there are "no known issues" with the way it charges nor any change to the systems that would impact how it calculates the relevant fee. This is after reporting it 2-3 times.
The system did this a couple of months back with the IHS fee (charging 3.5 years instead of 3) and in the end emailed the applicant advising that they were overcharged and a refund would be issued, which it was.
I can only assume they have broken the system but I wondered if anyone has experienced the same, or if anyone has any thoughts on why the system may be overcharging that I may have overlooked?
Thanks in advance,
