Skilled Worker Visa Dependants

Hi,

My Partner completed 3 years in Tier 2 General visa and after switching to new company recently, new company has sponsored him 5 years of Skilled worker visa expires on 2026 and BRP provided till Dec 2024, however he is eligible for ILR in 2023.

Myself and my kid changed to Tier 2 General dependant visa in 2019 and now we need to renew the visa so is it possible to apply for only 3 year visa as we will be eligible for ILR in 2024 (or) should we apply for dependant visa for 5 years inline with main applicant
