Dear All,
I was on Tier2/skilled worker visa staying in the UK from July 2019. I applied for my ILR last week and today received a positive result, thank fully.
I spent last 1.5 months in stress when I found out that I had spent more than 180 days (187) outside the UK in rolling 12 months in 2022-23. My job requires a lot of travel. I started reading a lot on all forums and spoke to many immigration lawyers but nobody was able to provide any conclusive answer having dealt with such cases before. Finally I decided to do the application on my own and provided below items for support of my application,
1) all passports
2) BRP
3) Employer letter confirming continuation of the employment
4) Employer letter confirming all work related travels
5) all flight tickets (as some countries I travelled don't stamp on passport showing entry/exit)
6) P60s of all 5 years
7) council tax
8) employment contract showing travelling abroad is part of my job.
9) council tax bills & mortgage statements(showing my commitment back home even when I was outside the
country)
10) Cover letter explaining my personal circumstances and how my job requires supporting clients abroad.
I spent a lot of stressfull time and posting to ensure anyone who is in similar situation, I can provide more details on what I did to make them get the ILR.
Many thanks
