I’m looking for some guidance regarding sponsoring an employee.
The employee was previously sponsored (by his employer) on an annual salary of £21,850 from 01/01/2024 under the rules prevailing that time. I am (new employer) now looking to sponsor him and have offered a new salary of £25,000 per year.
Would he be eligible to be sponsored on the £25k salary (as per older rules), or would he now need to meet the newer salary threshold of around £41k under the updated rules?
