Skilled worker Visa Sponsorship

Hi,
I am planning to sponsor a candidate from India to UK.
Candidate been in UK from Nov 2007 to Jan 2009.
Later candidate went back to India and working for MNC company.
Now after 11 years he is planning to apply back to UK.
He lost the old passport which has UK visa. He has a new passport now.
Now when I am asked to collect documents from candidate he has no proof to show the UK visa sticker for his previous immigration history in UK.
Can you please help how can I tackle this situation as he lost old passport which has Uk visa and how to prove his previous immigration status. Sure UK gov will have his details on their systems but how can this proved during application process.
Will be greatly helpful.
