solicitor tracking

Post by hmm » Mon Nov 23, 2009 11:28 pm

I've been recommend asolicitor by someone I met in the train. I spoke to the solicitor over the phone and he sounds really good.
I cannot find him or his firm on www.oisc.gov.uk but he is on www.solicitors-online.com.

Should I be worried? He may not be a oisc registered? or am I looking at the wrong place?

Please advise.

For Scotland try

http://www.lawscot.org.uk/find/

If they are not on this list it is probably good

http://www.sra.org.uk/consumers/solicit ... sions.page

What is their address, name and really I hope you are calling them on a land line.

You hear such horror stories.

You could also try the phone book.
