Some advice, Please!

Post by koni » Wed Mar 05, 2008 4:34 pm

Hi,

I am new to the site, and what a great site. I will really appreciate some advice to my complex situation. I came to the UK in 1992 on a 6 months visitor’s visa and have been here ever since. I tried to renew my visa then, but lost my passport and some money in the process after using a bogus solicitor. I didn’t report it to the Police for fear of deportation.

I am in a 2 year relationship and have a year old son. We were thinking of getting married but can’t due to HO marriage rules. I also have a 14 years old son from a previous relationship. I love my partner and my boys to bits and they are all I live for, as I haven’t seen my parents and siblings this long. I suppose after all these years I have almost certainly lost a part of them in me.

I want to come clean and regularize my immigration limbo now for the sake of my family, especially my boys. I want to get an idea of what my chances are of succeeding in regularizing my stay considering my complex situation.

My question now is where do I go from here, what can I d with regards to obtaining a new passport, and what options have I got, if any?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I'm new to this site. I joined to get (invaluable) advice on preparing for an appeal for a rejected visitor visa.

The reason why the HO failed our GENUINE application was probably because of people like you who make the HO in desperation fail anyone & everyone!

I make no apologies for sounding harsh - but thats how I have felt for the last 9 months as we have waited for an appeal date & hearing.

Surely you could just go and get a new passport made up at the time????

You have to get your consulate to issue you a passport.
