Some Advise On Dependent Work Permit Please?

Post by ccjj851010 » Fri Jun 19, 2009 9:45 am

i am currently on a student visa and soon qualify to apply for a post study work visa after november 09. my partner's fresh talent visa will be expiring this october 09, he doesnt has sufficient point to meet the tier 1 point based system due to recent change in education requirement. can i get him as my dependent with my current student visa until november and renew with post study work visa? he is working full time at the moment, can he still work full time if he becomes my dependent in future? also, what document is required as proof of dependent? please can anyone advise me, any comments would be very much appreciated. thank you

If you are on a student visa (not Student Tier 4, nor PSW), then your spouse may switch to being your dependant on FLR(O).

Subsequently, if you switch for PSW, then your spouse may switch to PSW dependant and may work.

thanks for replying. is there by any chance you know what supporting documentation is required? at the moment, we are not married yet, therefore, showing bank statement/phone bills are the only proof of documentation i could think of, unless i missed out something here?
