Some questions.....Canadian girlfriend coming to live here

Well I have been looking around a lot about how to go through this and I went to the FAQ posted sites, but I am still unsure on how to go about this. My girlfriend lives in Canada and the plan is for her to move here and live with me. I guess the main issues are:
What visa/permit does she have to have to be able to work/live here?
What documents are needed to cross the boarder when we are moving her furniture here?
I'm sure there's probably something more that we need, but like I said, I don't really know the best way to go. Our main goal is to get married, but her being 20 and me being 21, we're going to wait a bit on that. What is the best way to get her here as soon as possible. It sucks living so far away from each other :cry:
