Sopra Steria appointment after visa expiry date

Hi all,

My wife's spouse visa (2.5yrs) expires on Feb 24 and we have just submitted an application for spouse settlement (5yr route) and paid the full £3k for premium service.

We were unable to book an appointment to provide biometrics and documents before 24th Feb because the earliest appointment we could get at the Sopra service centre was 1 March.

My question is, has our "application" been submitted now (i.e the application has been made in time) or will my wife be deemed to have overstayed because of the gap between 24th Feb and 1st March?

I'm assuming we're safe because when we submitted the application it says we have until 23 April 2019 to attend the appointment. Is that right?

Was your appointment successful, Did they considered it as Application submitted Before expiry of your last stay ?

i have similar situation and will be applying my wife's extension just before the expiry of the current Visa
