I'm new to this forum so please bear with me I will try to make this as simple to answer as possible!

Basically, we're about to apply for ILR (based on set(m)form) in April'08.
I am British, born here and lived here all my life.
My husband holds a Tanzanian passport.
I have quite a few questions:
firstly, we went on holiday this summer and on the way back, my husband got stopped at immigration despite having a valid Limited Leave to Remain Visa (after flr(m)was granted).
Why was he stopped?
Perhaps a little history could help to answer this.
He arrived 8 yrs ago on a visit visa, then came back on student visa.
Then applied for work permit (which was refused as the employer filled it out badly) he appealed and was granted work permit.
Then he met me, and one year later April'06 was granted Limited Leave to Remain Visa.
Has the previous rejection of work permit caused his case to be flagged?
Secondly,

My husbands Visa expires on the 27th of April. We are planning on applying in person as we live in Birmingham.
Should we wait till the baby is born?
Thirdly, (sorry) we have traveled abroad during the probationary period of two years. The total time abroad has been about 70 days (5 weeks in year 1 and about 4 weeks in year 2). The travel has been purely for leisure and for a well earned holiday.
Will this effect our visa application?
Can/should we travel anymore?
Lastly, we own our own business, and have been trading for just over a year, we are always in overdraft at the end of each month, but use our savings to top up. We have never missed rent payments etc.
Would constant overdraft be a problem? Eventhough we have another account with savings in it.[/list]
