South England + London Software Testing/QA Market Now..????

How you guys finds South England + London Software Testing/QA Market...? I gets the feeling that its very dull now. Almost like X'mas period..!! Any one feel the same..?? Please comment with your experience.. Any tips also welcome...!

I am from East london.

I couldn't decide abt the market as i am new to London.
I came here 10 days back.
Though i have 5+ years of exp in testing field and uploaded my CV in all major UK job sites, I got only one call for testing opprotunity.
As i had a job offer before coming to UK so i am bit relaxed.

Is there any other way to approach employers or consultants?
