Speeding Processing???

Post by alex13 » Thu Nov 03, 2011 7:24 pm

Hello, I applied for a post study visa on the 19th of October and im still waiting for the biometrics letter, compared to other people, the process of my application has been very slow.
I called the border agency and they advised me to write a letter to the case workers in Sheffield explaining my circumstances and see if they consider it valid enough to make things quicker.
My situation is that the contract of my flat ends on December 24th and i cant renew the contract nor look for another flat if i dont know if im staying or not.
Im just wondering if anyone has had experience with this and if this would be a valid reason to speed my application???

Thanks

You do not have to be British in order to receive assistance from an MP. Their role is to look after the welfare of the people in their constituency. So if you have an immigration issue which is affecting you, you may want to consider approaching your MP. As MP, he can access information/people/departments easily (not that he will make your outcome positive, but at least he can find out why there are delays in your case). If you are to contact them, you just need to explain your circumstances as they are.
