UK Ancestral Dependency Visa : Original Documents lost

Post by newbie1001 » Fri Jun 29, 2012 1:27 pm

My husband was granted his UK ancestral visa and is currently living and working in the UK. I have started the application process for my daughter and myself for the UK ancestral dependency visa. For the application, original documents are required : his utility bill, rental agreement, salary advice, letter of employment, certified copies of passport and visa. These were posted from the UK with registered post, and have now been lost. According to the South African postal services, the letter has not arrived in the country, despite the tracking from Royal Mail stating it was handed over 3 weeks ago. In these circumstances, would copies suffice, together with the proof of postage and response from the various agencies ?
