I need some help - I'm a bit worried that I'm going to find myself kicked out of the UK in a few months!
My employer's sponsor licence expires in approx 2 months. However, due to a variety of reasons, we no longer have an authorizing officer, level 1 officer, anyone with access to the SMS... etc...
My current ops manager has applied to make herself the new authorizing officer, but apparently this can take up to 18 weeks. I read somewhere that this can be fast tracked in 5 days, but so far this hasn't happened. After this, I guess she will need to gain access to the SMS.
So - my questions are:
* Does anybody know anything about fast tracking a new authorizing officer, if your company currently has nobody authorized to do anything WRT the sponsor licence?
* Is SMS access a separate request, and if so, how long will this take?
* I read in the licence renewal email that you should apply for renewal min 1 month before expiry. How long does this usually take?
* If their licence does indeed expire, what position am I in? I suppose my leave will be curtailed and I will have to leave the country... Can they apply for a new licence? Does that mean they'd need to apply for a new CoS as well?
It might be useful to know that I recently (in September) married a Brit, so I could potentially apply for a visa that way, but it's all a bit short notice I think...
Any help or advice (or support!) would be very welcome. I'm stressing....!
Cheers
