Sponsoring UK standard visitor visa for parents, sister and nephew

• Can I just send one invitation and include all the members name in it ? Also, my sister resides in another city to that of my parents, does it matter ?

• As I am sponsoring the visa, is there a requirement to show proof of funds? If yes, how much is it ?

• Should my father now retired from employment, produce a bank balance statement as proof of funds?

• My mother is a house wife, should she produce any proof of funds as well?

• Should my sister also show any proof of funds for her and her son (i.e. my nephew)?

I am planning to apply for UK Standard Visitor's visa for my parents, my sister and nephew, 4 members in total who live in India. I've few queries and really appreciate your answers, so please kindly guide me

– I would suggest apply for 2 people at once (i.e parents first once approved, then apply for sister and nephew)

• As I am sponsoring the visa, is there a requirement to show proof of funds? If yes, how much is it ?

– Yes, if you are sponsoring in full for all then likely minimum £1000-1500 each. Also HO expects they are not totally dependent on your for the whole trip and able to spend on their own. They should be able to maintain themselves on their return with no issues. So showing their bank balance is also recommend.

• Should my father now retired from employment, produce a bank balance statement as proof of funds?

– Yes, show pensions income, Fixed Deposit, Pension certificates

• My mother is a house wife, should she produce any proof of funds as well?

– If she has a bank balance or you shall mention dependant house-wife on your father.

• Should my sister also show any proof of funds for her and her son (i.e. my nephew)?

– Yes, this would help. Again you can sponsor everyone, but each application are decided on their own merits, so showing they have enough to support themselves funds is always best.
