sponsorship letter - student visa

Post by florecita878 » Sat Nov 22, 2008 4:51 pm

My sponsor will provide me his bank statement and the sponsorhip letter I need for a student visa. The thing is, his bank statement is addressed to him & his wife, should I add her info (name, passport nº) in the letter as well? Somebody advised me that he should add that his wife agrees w/my sponsorship. Help! Thanks

Should be no harm in including details of sponsor's wife and her consent.
What supporting documents should I include with my application? wrote:if you are being privately sponsored (for example, by a college in the UK) a letter from your sponsor giving details of how they will support you during your studies, and evidence that they can do so.

Yes you should add the wife's consent - especially if the implication is that their income is going to be sufficient for all 3 of you. She might not agree.

Or she might be planning to sponsor someone herself.

Then it would have to be enough for the 4 of you!
Oh, the drama...!
