Hi i got ILR on 10 years long term resdency status (9 years on student visa and 1 year on work permit) in dec 2009. i got married in 2004 and my wife come to uk in june 2004 on student dependent visa. when my student visa converted to work permit in sep 2008 her visa also switched to work permit dependent visa and its valid until 2013.
My question is, is it necessary for her to switch her present visa to ILR dependent or is ok for her to stay on her current workpermit visa dependent?
Thanks in advance

She should switch to FLR(M) as soon as possible.

Hi Vinny,
my wife is applying for FLR(M)
is student dependant visa classed as entry clearance as spouse. The reason why I am asking this question is that there is a question in section 6 (6.1) :

did you get an entry clearance as a spouse?

and the visa my wife has got at the moment is student dependent
