spousal visa and university: smooth operator or anyone else.

Hi Smooth operator, I just read an old post from you about being in Uni while you had your 2yrs spousal visa. I am on 2yr spouse visa, due to apply for my ILR in Nov 08. I want to find out if you had to pay for homestudent or international student while you were studying,As I would like to go for my MSc to start in sept but I am not sure which fees category I belong, I would prefer to pay home student fees as its cheaper. Please can you or anyone advise.
Thanks
Slim

You would only be eligible for home fees if you have ILR and have been in the EU region for at least three years prior to the start date of your course. If you wanted to study this September, you would likely be charged international fees. How long have you been in the UK?

hey all,

I was on visitor visa until i got my spouse visa in nov 2006, so i don't think i pass the 3yr criteria, having said that I have docs proof I have lived at my address for over 3yrs, if thats what they require? I guess i will just have to wait till i get my ILR

Thanks alot for your response.
