Spouse Question

Post by ForeignBride » Thu Jan 16, 2020 1:48 am

Hi I'm wondering if a UK spouse can bar his non UK spouse from returning to the UK after she goes for a short holiday to her home country.

Please bear with me if it is a silly question....background story is that my husband (British) and I (non british, on a spouse visa) have been arguing a lot lately. We are unhappy most of the time and we have said very hurtful things to each other. I would like to visit my family soon (outside the UK) and I'm paranoid that he might stop me from returning back home to the UK because he is unhappy with me, thereby separating me from my child which would be unbearable for me. Thank you

Your husband can notify the Home Office that the relationship is at an end.

It will then be up to the Home Office to take a decision on whether to revoke your visa or to refuse you permission to enter the UK.

Thanks Simon.
We are still very much married though, no separation or divorce or anything like that. We've just been arguing a lot lately and I was wondering if this is something he could do out of spite?

If there’s any couple who never argue with each other then they’re lying to themselves, every couple fights and argue like kids so speak to each other and sort things out. Hopefully nothing of such will occur.
My opinions should not be constituted as an immigration or legal advice.
