Spouse sponsor employment status

Post by charl » Thu Jun 03, 2010 6:35 pm

Hi all

I am currently in the process of collating all the neccessary documents for a spouse visa so that my husband can join me here in the UK.

I am a physiotherapist and am confident that my wage satisfies the financial aspect of being able to support my husband without recourse to public funds. I am however employed on a locum basis (i.e i work in the NHS through an agency and as such do not have a permenant contract type, although I am in continuous employment.

Can anyone advise me on whether this is acceptable or preferably whether they have been in a similar situation and submitted an application? At then end of the day, nobodies job is secure, as redundancy and lay offs can occur for anybody at anytime.

Many thanks.
