Spouse Sponsor on Student Visa

Post by Peace » Tue Sep 20, 2005 10:43 pm

Hi

I recently got a student visa for UK (16 months). I wish to bring my husband along with me to Uk. The problem is that my husband was staying in UK for the past 3 years on a TWES work permit. He applied for a Business and Commercial work permit which was refused.
Unfortunately, he had to 'overstay' in UK for about 5 months due to some unresolved matters. Now he is back in Pakistan and while he was returning from there the UK a month back the immigration authorty took notice of his overstay and noted that down on his passport.

People I have talked to are telling me that his chances of getting a visa a re now almost zero because of his overstay.

Please help me and tell me if this is true or can we defend by explaining why he overstayed and he can still get a visa.

thank you...
