Spouse Visa - Advice on entering after valid from date

Post by Cara-Sydney » Wed Jun 29, 2011 9:39 pm

My UK spouse visa has just been approved - the valid from date is the 27th of June. My original plan was to travel to the UK on the 29th of July - but now my grandfather is ill and I may need to return home and possibly delay my entry to the UK for as much as ten weeks.

I just wanted to check the information I found on the UKBA site which states that as long as I enter the UK within 3 months from the start of the visa (ie: the 27th of June) then my application for ILR should be ok and should not require an extension of my spouse visa?

Is this correct?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Best Wishes

Cara
