Hi there,
I'm new to this forum so please excuse me if I have started this thread in the wrong sub-section but I think I'm alright. Anyway, I'm applying for my spouse visa from Pakistan, for my spouse, my wife. We applied May last year, got refused on the basis of a couple of things, 1 - no employment letter (I'm co-owner of the firm as well as a registered employee so I didn't think I had to) 2 - £9.36 discrepancy in my 6 months payslips (seems rather negligible as my overall income far exceeds their requirement of £18,600) and 3 - they said I only sent 3 months bank statements, which is rubbish because I sent about 8, which is excessive as their requirement is only 6, how they could find it to be 4 I'll never know.
Anyway I appealed and provided the missing documents, including having that £9.36 put into my account along with a letter from the firm apologising for the discrepancy in payment. The upshot of all this was I recieved a court date for March 2019, before which we recieved a desicion withdrawal letter. I recieved the letter on 17th Jan 2019 (though it was actually dated 9th Jan, God knows why they took so long in emailing it over), it is exactly 3 weeks from the date of reciept and I am yet to recieve any further notice from them.
So my reason for posting here, my question, is how long do these things take generally? I've heard any number of different timescales, some have told me 4 weeks, some 8, some even 12. So I was just wondering what is the general average of these sorts of things, even if I could have some sort of approximate guideline. Every avenue that I can find to email or phone I seem to draw a bank (whilst having paid handsomely for the privelige). So yeah, thats about the size of it, I would be most grateful if somebody could help me out as I am at a bit of a loss here.
It would be nice to hear from people in a similar situation too, see what sort of timescales they have had to endure.
