Spouse visa application

I applied for my ilr 10 years on 17th September 2012 and did my biometrics on November 26th 2012. Still waiting for approval.

My husband is currently on psw visa ending March 11th, 2013. I am dreading what will happen if I do not get my ilr before his psw expires. He was thinking of applying for the spouse visa.

Can someone suggest if there is another solution to this? Thank you.

My husband called the HO and they stated that he will need to wait for me to get my ILR first before he can apply for FLR(M).

However read somewhere in this forum where one the seniors recommended someone to put in a FLR(M) while waiting for the wife ILR explaining the situation to the HO. Has anyone done this before.
