Hi,
The UKVI office in Düsseldorf could not confirm, so can one of you kindly advise if it is possible to travel back on the visitor visa (valid until end of Jan 2020) before the start of the spouse visa (23/12)?
Look forward to hearing from you,
Callum
In theory, one shall only have one active visa for any country (ie no time overlaps between visas), so there is a chance that visits visa was cancelled once spouse visa was issued. My visits visa for 5 years (ending in 2023) was cancelled on issue of EEA FP (valid for 6 months only) though there were no signs of it in the passport. I just asked immigration officer and she advised me that my visits visa is no longer active.
It is also important to get a stamp at the boarder for spouse visa as this is the beginning of timer for permanent residency and citizenship. As I understand you need to "activate" immigration visa at the border.
Better wait a couple of days.
