Spouse visa, documents.

Hi everyone.

I'm in the process of applying for my visa and wanted to post a list of the documents we have, just to see if we've enough or if we need to get anything more...

*Application form
*Passports - both my current and past, and his UK and Aus passports.
*Birth certificates
*His UK citizenship certificate
*Marriage certificate
*Letter from office of Births Deaths and Marriages confirming our wedding booking
*Photos from wedding
*Cards we received at the wedding
*A letter from him in support of my application, detailing relationship etc.
*A letter from myself detailing our relationship etc.
*Photographs of us in the past at functions like Christmas dinners etc as well as happy snaps and a few polaroids.
*Post-it-note flags in our passports (his Aus and my past one), showing dates we travelled together.
*3 months bank statements from our pay and savings accounts, both with regular transactions. This is an online statement which will be endorsed at the bank (I don't get paper statements).
*6 months of his payslips showing weekly base wage and any commissions/bonuses.
*Invoice and Receipt for sale of car - with deposits paying for car highlighted on statement.
*ATO tax refund statement
*6 months utilities bills in each name - phone, internet etc.
*Our current lease here
*Bond Receipt from past property we rented along with a list of addresses and contact details for past properties we rented (I tried to get copies of those leases but none of the agents had kept them on file)
*His CV and copies of job ads he qualifies for in UK (we have 6 of these)
*My CV and copies of job ads I qualify for
*Letter from his aunt inviting us to stay with her until we get our own place, detailing the size of the house, that we will have a room for our own use etc
*Copy of our flight itinerary and booking confirmation.

I think that's all we have. Hopefully its enough as its coming down to the line and I have to mail everything away in the next few days - I have my biometrics being taken tomorrow afternoon. I look at that list and it seems huge, but still I don't know if its enough or overkill???

welcome to the boat where people stay on it for 6 - 8 moths until they see land approaching from a very far distance.....

Your documents seem a bit questionable....plz read my points below.

1) You should ideally have submitted past 6 months bank statement.

2) You should have ideally taken offical bank print out from your nearest bank branch. bank statements seem more authentic that way since its on the banks letter head etc....every little detail helps.

3) I do not see a letter from your hubby's employer confirming his employement.....Where is that? This letter together with 6 months payslips weighs heavily in favour towards your application.

4) ACCOMODATION: Chances of your application being rejected on this basis is very likely since you have not provided any morgage statement of your aunts house. simply a letter saying you can stay with ur aunt at her house will not prove anything. IT WOULD HAVE REALLY HELPED IF YOUR HUBBUY GOT AT LEAST A RENTED ACCOMODATION FROM A STATE AGENT....even a 1 bedroom flat would have done nicely.....band A.

The guidance notes on the consulate website here stated that 3 months bank statements are all that are required.

My husband has no letter from a UK employer as he is here with me and will be travelling to the UK with me, as such he has no job lined up in the UK.

My aunt and uncle own their home and there is no mortgage on the property. The information I got from the consulate here was that all I required was a letter from them inviting us to stay.

Apart from those 3 points how does the rest look?

Please correct me if im wrong, but from what u have just stated above....does this mean that ur sponser (hubby) does not have employement in the UK? This can seriously effect the outcome of your visa...possibly even get rejected.

You should have also submited your aunts property ownership (land registry) papers along with her consent letter. Because of this, the information you have provided to the ECO about accomodation looks far too incomplete.

To sum it all up because of the above issues still at large...im afraid ur application looks weak.

However if you have not yet done ur bio-metrics, you can still submit the missing documents as described above.

The embassy people mis-guide. They tell something else, but the idot ECO can make stupid descisions sometimes when they are not provided the correct and complete documentation.

Lastly, what country have u applied from and what is your nationality?
