Spouse Visa Extension and English

Hi
My friend wife came in to UK as Spouse of British National.
She was initially granted 30 months visa from Pakistan.She had fulfilled English Language Requirement while the time of Entry Clerance
Her visa is near to expire and i just wondering if she has to PASS any English Exam agian or she will only need at the tie of ILR ??

This is the current list for approved tests & test centres. She should check whether her test in on the list for A1 level. B1 level English + Life in the UK won't be required until she applies for ILR in 2.5 years time.

Kindly tell me does the above list is for Extension as well.I was thinking that she only need English if it is a new initial application but in her case it is extension of current leave

please advice?
