Hi , can someone please provide some advise on the below . I am not sure how to start a new topic so i am posting my query here.

I am british and my husband spouse visa 2.5 years is due to finish in feb 2022 and we will be applying for extension in jan 2021.

Can someone advise if the financial requirements is same as 18600 for extension?

Secondly i work for nhs and been there for 4 years and earn over 18600 . i am currently on maternity leave started in Jan this year and will be going back to work in jan 2022 . On maternity Leave your income is less then your normal income. Can someone tell me how can i use my payslips for visa extension isit 6 months?

Thanks

Can someone advise if the financial requirements is same as 18600 for extension? As of now, the requirement is still same. Check for current rules at the time you will be making extension app.

Do i need to attach my partners payslips aswell in the extension or not? I guess if i am covering the financial requirement alone then i only need to provide my proof

Thanks

Yes Bank statements must cover the same period prior before you went on maternity. Your partners payslips is not needed if you meet the requirement on your own.

Hi all,

Thanks in advance for your time and advice - the gov.uk website is (STILL!!) a total embarrassing mish-mash of useless information so it's invaluable to have third party wesbites and people like yourselves to offer your support :)

My wife (Japanese) will be making her spouse visa extension application next month. When she came to the UK in Oct '18 I was her sponsor (via my self-employment as sole trader). Since May '19 though, she has had a job paying over the £18,600 requirement, and salary increases reflecting UK rate of inflation.

However, aside from council tax, the mortgage and land registry docs on which both our names are listed, all the household bills are done from an account in my name. From time to time she will do a transaction into my account to show support from her side of these bills.
For this reason, I was wondering whether I would need to provide my SA302, tax return info etc. and another sponsor letter(??) to show our situation and that we are 'doubly' secure if you will. But, with the delights of COVID I am currently receiving the SEISS support as my trading as a musician is currently on hold. Will this just complicate things I give my income details, given that she meets the requirements on her own?

Basically I'm just concerned they will see very little 'outgoings' on her bank statements, even though she is supporting the bills!

Look forward to your replies!
Ed

No need to add your income because it will even complicated issues more due to you being self employed which is category known for tons of documentation and restrictions with adding your self employed income with your wife employment income must be within the same financial year as your self employment so avoid it.
