spouse visa -Finance requirement

Post by allaboutlove » Wed Aug 21, 2013 12:21 pm

Hi,

can anyone please help with my case, i am currently in the uk on the YMS visa, my bf ( british) and I planning to get married here, i'd like to apply for the spouse visa, however , we are not quite sure if we meet the finance requirement, I am thinking if we can use Category B: Less than 6 months with current employer or variable income–person residing in the UK .

i had two contracts during last 12 months, but i am currently unemployeed ( don't have work in July and Aug so far ), my bf in a salaried employment ( been 5 months now) paying 16k/year, i wonder if i can put my salary towards to the requirement,

a)I was in non salaried employment, income from last 6 months is 6084.67, calculated as 6084.67/6) *12= 12169.34, my bf is in salaried as of 16000, together we have 28169.34

b) my income from last 12 months is 19834.63, my bf is 6665, together we have 26499.63.

i really now sure if we can count in this way, can anyone have a look at our case and give us some advise, we really can't stand being apart...

If your income non-salaried, and are you still employed? have you got savings? If no to both, then consider the Surinder Singh route (click),
