Spouse visa financial requirement

Post by Mk2911 » Wed Jan 07, 2026 10:51 pm

Hello everyone,

I’ve submitted a UK spouse visa (entry clearance) application from India under standard service and biometrics were completed on 31 December 2025 (Mumbai VFS). I’ve now received confirmation that the application has been forwarded to UKVI.

My sponsor (wife, British citizen) meets the 2025 financial requirement (£29,000) through two concurrent employments:
• Main employment: Permanent, full-time (over £23,000 p.a.)
• Secondary employment: Permanent, part-time (approx. £6,240 p.a.)

I uploaded:
• 6 months payslips for both employments (June–Nov 2025)
• 6 months bank statements covering the same period (salary credits visible)
• Employer letter for main job
• For the secondary job, payslips + bank statements + P60 + a clarification statement explaining that HR was unavailable due to Christmas closure
• December payslips were uploaded additionally, but December salary credits fall outside the 6-month assessment window and are paid after the last bank statement date

Immigration history was fully disclosed (historic overstay, voluntary departure in 2015, no ban or deportation order).

My question:
👉 is this level of financial evidence acceptable under Appendix FM-SE, and is UKVI likely to rely on the June–November window given the submission date of 23 December 2025?

Any insight on standard processing timelines or whether further evidence is usually requested in similar cases would be appreciated.

Thank you
