Spouse visa for Ireland: Status of Irish citizen

Post by chaoclive » Thu Jan 09, 2014 1:52 pm

Hi there

Long story short: I'm Irish and may want to get an Irish spouse visa for my partner in the near future. I would like to ask if the Irish citizen needs to be working during the 3 years that it takes to get citizenship for the application to be successful?

I would prefer to be classed as self-sufficient and am just wondering if my status will affect him getting a GNIB card/Stamp 4 etc?

Thanks a lot!
