I'm new to the site. Been reading about the nightmare the lady from the phillipine had to go through to obtain a Spouse visa. Well ! Well! I'm getting married next month here at home in Los Angeles, to my British fiance. We are planning to obtain a Spouse Visa after the wedding but I won't be joining him until January 2007. Can someone please tell me, it's not like this every where!!! We are gathering all the basic documentation needed but Oh! I would hate to have to be tortured like that lady. Now does anyone know what else I may need as regards to documents apart from the obvious? What was that about utility bills , does one really need utility bills to obtain a visa? I have been going to the UK for years on a Visit visa but all I've been supplying was financial proof and a reason to return to the United states. But now that I'm going to stay,how much financial proof do I need?
